Gerald (Gerry) Bouey has held several impressive roles within the ﬁnancial services industry. His positions includes serving as an individual contributor, to a Manager and Vice-president within the Asset Management line of business, at a large ﬁnancial service ﬁrm. Gerry began his impressive career in banking accumulating 40 years of business, management, and leadership experience. Along with holding several senior management positions Gerry excelled, from managing operations, quality, customer service, training, to staff functions in technology and administration.
He has effectively led groups as large as 350 individuals, to being an individual contributor, managing strategic ﬁrm-wide change initiatives. Gerry has served as an internal consultant, executive coach, strategist. He has facilitated change initiatives, quality programs, customer satisfaction initiatives, team-building workshops, diversity and inclusion interventions, and was sought out internally and externally for his insights on leadership. Gerry is certiﬁed in a wide array of psychometric instruments, including MBTI, VIA, DiSC, which he utilizes in helping teams, executives, business owners, self discover, and in a number of leadership developmental efforts. Gerry currently operates a consulting practice allowing him to fulﬁll a lifelong passion of “igniting” human potential, compassion, and greatness, inspiring individuals, teams, organizations, and communities to reach toward being exceptional.
His key area of interest centers on transformational leadership, generative energies of love, positive psychology, and the engagement of the whole person, leveraged with the thoughtful use of technology. Along with helping CEO’s, senior executives, entrepreneurs, and business owners increase their leadership effectiveness, Gerry teaches Positive Psychology at Columbia College Chicago, Organizational Development and Effective Leadership curriculums at Lewis University, as well as, Roosevelt University-Chicago as an Adjunct Instructor.
Gerry has membership in the Society of Organizational Learning, the International Positive Psychology Association, and the Organizational Development Network. He has been a featured keynote speaker throughout the country around the topic of breakthrough leadership practices. Gerry is a past board member of the Midwest Eye Banks, and a current ambassador for Eversight Eye Bank. Additionally, he is a member and served as President of the Plainﬁeld Lion’s Club, 2010-11. Gerry has earned a Bachelors Degree of Arts in Social and Community Studies, as well as a Masters Degree of Arts, in Organizational Leadership, both from Lewis University. He is currently completing his PhD requirements at Cardinal Stritch University focused on Learning, Leadership and Service. Gerry holds a Business Management certiﬁcation, as well as a NASD Series 7 and 63 securities licenses, (expired Oct. 2010) along with a host of Leadership Development certiﬁcations.
